What this check can and cannot tell you
The tool reads public DNS and IP registry data. That is enough to tell you a lot about a network, and not enough to verify a provider's marketing claims.
Network type is an inference
We match the registered organisation against known hosting and cloud operators. A consumer ISP that also sells servers can read either way, so use it as a signal, not a verdict.
Location is registry-level
City and coordinates come from where the address block is registered, not from a device. Being off by a city — occasionally a country — is normal for IP geolocation.
Nothing is stored
Every lookup runs in your browser against public DNS and IP APIs. We keep no logs of what you check, and the site has no backend to keep them in.
